Circlips

Circlips are used to prevent lateral movement. They are used as retaining rings on bearing assemblies and are manufactured using semi-flexible metal ring. These products are in a shape of a circle with a clip and are open from one end.

Constructed as curved beams of uniform strength, the radial width is reduced towards the free ends so that a constantly round shape is maintained throughout continuous use. This form of circlip often used in assemblies subjected to strong centrifugal forces, is also secure against high rotational speeds. Lugs with holes are provided for rapid fitting or removal with circlip pliers. We stock the following:

External Circlips – DIN 471

Circlips are used to prevent lateral movement. They are used as retaining rings on bearing assemblies and are manufactured using semi-flexible metal ring. These products are in a shape of a circle with a clip and are open from one end.

The most common form of axially fitted circlips for shafts with grooves.

Internal Circlips – DIN 472

Type B type internal circlips are used to prevent lateral movement of assembly components in a bore. These internal circlips are manufactured using high-grade spring steel or Stainless Steel. We offer these products in a huge variety of sizes, dimension and thicknesses to meet specific needs of our clients. Our complete range is strictly tested on the basis of different parameters. These products are suitable for most normal engineering applications as these simply act as a rigid shoulder within a bore.

Type E Circlips – DIN 6799

We offer a comprehensive range of E type circlips.

The most common form of radially fitted circlips for shafts with grooves. Provide a large shoulder on a relatively small shaft diameter. This range can be supplied stacked on rods for use with applicators and dispensers for rapid installation, thus resulting in sharply reduced assembly costs.

Only the groove size is critical with this type of circlip, the shaft diameter can be varied widely.

Snap Rings – DIN 9925 and DIN 9926

Axially fitted snap rings for shafts with semi-circular grooves. These are mainly used for the assembly of needle bearings, needle cages and sealing rings.

They are predominantly used in semicircular grooves in conjunction with quarter-circle coverage of the located mating component.

Applications:

  • Securing gudgeon pins (special shapes)
  • Gear systems
  • Automotive engineering
  • As auxiliary installation elements
  • In the fittings industry

Snap Rings Internal DIN 9926 AISI 301 –

Starlock Push Fastener

Starlock fasteners simply push on to a shaft giving an instant fix and grip, thus eliminating costly threading, drilling or grooving operations. Once fixed in position, the push-on fastener is so secure that it cannot be removed without destruction. High carbon spring steel is specially heat treated to ensure secure holding quality.
